Fleur De Lait

2 1/2 Cups Whole Milk

3/4 Cup Sugar

Pinch of Salt

3 Tablespoons Corn Starch

1/2 Cup Heavy Cream

  1. Combine the milk, sugar, and salt together in a sauce pan over medium heat. Heat until just warm.

  2. Mix together the cornstarch and heavy cream by adding the cream into the corn starch until completely combined.

  3. Whisk the Heavy Cream Cornstarch Mixture into the warmed milk and increase the temperature on the burner to bring the mixture to a boil.

  4. Once boiling turn the heat down and simmer until thickened about 2 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat and put into a container. Chill over an ice bath or chill overnight in the refrigerator.

  6. Freeze in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturers instructions.
