Episode 72: Marcella's Parmesan and Basil Walnuts

Marcella’s Italian Kitchen

Ingredients 

⅓ C Freshly grated parmesan

1 T Butter, softened to room temperature

1 t chopped fresh basil

¼ pound shelled walnut halves

Steps

  1. Mix together the butter, parmesan and basil until a smooth paste.

  2. Scoop up some of the mixture and smear it on the walnuts, sheathing only ⅔ of the nut. Leave ⅓ uncovered.

  3. Place the coated walnuts on a dish without overlapping them and refrigerate until needed.
