Get the nuts that are whole but without the shell! You can follow Gretchen’s suggestions for attempting to make this easier. But we can confirm this takes A WHILE. The peeling could be a good activity for a gathering of friends. Pistachio Peeling Party Anyone? The paste is worth all the work.
And we also make mousse, which seemed like the easiest thing after peeling all those fiddily nuts. And the mousse was sooooooooo delicious.
